Tibor Harsányi

Tibor Harsányi (Magyarkanizsa, Kingdom of Hungary, June 27, 1898 – Paris, September 19, 1954) was a Hungarian-born composer and pianist.

He studied at the Budapest Conservatory under Zoltán Kodály. He toured as a pianist around Europe and the Pacific, then settled in Holland in 1920, and worked there as a pianist, conductor and composer[1] before relocating to Paris in 1923. There, he became involved with the group of composers in L'Ecole de Paris, which included emigre composers such as Alexandre Tansman, Bohuslav Martinů, Alexander Tcherepnin and Marcel Mihalovici.
